Enso Music Management + Rock the Foundry + UAC present: Lest We Forget + Fractons & support
October 20 @ 7:00 pm - October 21 @ 12:00 am
Combining intricate riffs and furious rhythms with anthemic, cascading vocals, LestWeForget’s unique brand of progressive metal synthesises those two most disparate of things – the complex and the catchy.
The band’s innovative sound derives from juxtaposition. This exists in the dialogue between JH Norris’s vocals and Harry Lingard-Bright’s soaring lead lines, and in the connection between Paul Heavey’s driving guitar riffs and Dec Doran’s fierce percussive cadences.
Praised especially by BBC Introducing’s Dave Gilyeat, LestWeForget’s 2017 release ‘Sweet Serenity’ showcased the band’s affinity for a technical riff alongside a melodic, stadium-filling vocal line, and can be listened to on Spotify (https://open.spotify.com/artist/6o94iVsVvpGU8DTqZcYuKj?si=eXsiElX_Rlu4VE4R0gjFfw) alongside their wider back catalogue.
LestWeForget’s latest single, ‘Zero Won’, is the most emphatic manifesto of their style to date – it has already garnered a multitude of plaudits through a variety of publications and media.
Since appearing to a crowd of 6,000 at the Proud2 in London’s 02 Arena during the final of Live and Unsigned, at which the band played for high-profile industry professionals such as Kerrang!’s Alex Baker, LestWeForget have obtained notable support slots with bands such as Yashin, Fearless Vampire Killers, Press to Meco, Wars, Chapter and Verse, and Martyr de Mona, among others.
They have sold out the 02 Academy 2 in Oxford, and have performed at prestigious live venues across the country, including The Fleece in Bristol, which hosted the band for a show in which they were the headlining touring act.
The group formed in 2010 when members of several local bands got together to create new music, which progressed into the band Fractions. After a few years of writing material, Fractions completed their debut live show in March 2013. A few more shows and some further member changes led to the creation of the current line up.
Fractions returned to the UK touring scene in late 2015, playing with such bands as Mage, Internal Conflict, Resin, In Search Of Sun, Ramage Inc. plus many more.
Towards the end of 2016, Fractions began recording their self-produced 5-track EP ‘Forces’ which was released in the Summer of 2017, making several reviewer’s top ten list’s when compiling their EP year end reviews.
Fractions reached the final of Leicester’s Metal 2 the Masses 2017 which was held on the main stage at the iconic De Montfort Hall, as part of the 2017 ‘Uprising Festival’. Playing to a strong audience, their show was met with critical acclaim. Guitarist Chris Johnson was awarded best guitarist of the competition and received an endorsement with Stone Wolf guitars for his efforts.
Later in the summer of ‘17 the band joined the Enso Management roster, progressing on to play numerous dates around the country supporting both underground & recognised artists, with the most notable being Raging Speedhorn. The pinnacle of 2017 was the band achieving a main support slot call up for tech- metal heavyweights Tesseract on their late summer Russia dates.
