Nambucca Live presents: Karma Sheen + Animal Breakdown + Sinka + Tevara & DJs til late
May 23 @ 7:00 pm - May 24 @ 12:00 am
Karma Sheen is a psychedelic Sufi rock band from London. Fronted by Songwriter and guitarist, Sameer Khan.
Karma Sheen have created an eclectic mix of nostalgic 60’s psychedelia inspired music from the likes of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Cream and The Doors, mixed with the flair of 90’s grunge coupled together with creamy Indian classical sounds and Sufi inspired lyrics that complete the mountainous cake of sound that is Karma Sheen.
“Had I been inspired to compile a Hillingdon Music Awards for the past 12 months, then Karma Sheen would have undoubtedly won the ‘Best Live Act’ gong” Hughie Dixon; Hayes FM
It all kicked off in London, spreading psychic love and fuzzy warmth and creamy soundscapes before taking on the rest of the world to entice the masses into psychedelic trips, deep bass driven rhythmic soundscapes and, something that is almost a lost art, the unmistakable guitar solo!
Come and join the mantra; Love is Life, Life is Music and Music is Love.
Heavy-hitting alt-rock power trio from Watford, SINKA are – as BBC Introducing’s
Danny Fullbrook said – so, so, so good.
Current release Fussy, with its buzzsaw riffs and soaring vocals, and precursor You Run ’s tempo-shifting, breakneck sonic onslaught are tantalising tastes of what we can expect from this fast-rising band.
From the depths of East London, Animal Breakdown combine a blend of indie rock with a dash of powerpop, an unhinged nostalgia of 80’s post punk/new wave with lyrics that explore the shadowlands of life; the darkest nights of the soul. Formed out of the ashes of family tragedy, broken hearts, violence and unemployment brothers in arms Martin, Josef and Marco needed to exorcise some demons and inject some joy and direction into their lives.
These songs are their story…they’re written for you…
