Nambucca Live presents: Underjoy + Lewisburg + Ollie Trevers
January 23 @ 7:00 pm - January 24 @ 12:00 am
Nambucca Live Presents:
London based alternative rock band. Supported by BBC Introducing.
We’d like to emphasise the importance of staying hydrated during a heatwave or acid trip.
We began as a collective of blurred motion, formless in the eternal void. Now, supported by BBC Introducing, we gig regularly and are releasing more music.
“‘Enchanting, rambling songs that recall the whimsy of Tindersticks, the darkness of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and the quirkiness of Belle and Sebastian” – Back Seat Mafia
“‘Melodic, rising guitar riffs alongside thudding kick drums and emotive heartfelt lyrics dealing with loss, fear and hope.’ – ARTROCKER
Ollie Trevers is a London based singer songwriter, who studied at Leeds College Of Music and ICMP. He was in several bands before deciding to become a solo artist. He started writing and performing music from fourteen years old and cannot remember a time when he didn’t want to be an artist.
His first EP, ‘Saucy Naughty Rubbish’, was released in 2018; it is a post punk/classic rock style EP, which is extremely energetic and powerful. However, Ollie’s first EP is not indicative of his new sound, which can be found in his upcoming five track EP ‘Cordelia’. Here we see Ollie move from punk to alternative/progressive rock, inspired by blues, folk and psychedelic rock. Ollie takes influence from a range of artists such as Led Zeppelin, Ella Fitzgerald, Edith Piaf, Tim Buckley, Jeff Buckley, Pink Floyd, Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell and David Bowie.
Having only performed with his new band since March 2019, Ollie toured in the South of France a few months later. He plans to tour Britain, Europe and Nashville throughout 2020.
