Hailing from South East London, The Theme formed in late 2011.
For most of 2012 and 2013 the band gigged extensively all over London and beyond, including sell out gigs at the 100 Club and Clapham Grand, also supporting OCS and Weller guitarist Steve Craddock and with one gig in Canning town being described as ‘the gig of the year’.
The band’s first album, ‘Time For Change’ is available on iTunes and and shows the band’s diverse range of influences from mod, ska, punk, rock and blues. Their amazing EP ‘Hits The Sky’ was released in February 2014 to critical acclaim and has won the ‘Best EP for 2014’ from Galaxy Entertainment and a new EP, ‘In A Daze’ was released in October 2015 to excellent reviews, and in 2016 ‘Changes’ featured new vocalist Chris. 2017 will bring at least one album’s worth of material and some exciting news.
