The Dabhands formed at College in Guildford when singer Katie, waiting at a set of traffic lights, noticed guitarist Ryan wearing a baseball cap and, in Katie’s words, “looking like he’d be into RHCP”. Correct in her assumption, the pair started writing songs. Drummer Lewis overheard them speaking in class about forming a band. He insisted on being involved along with his bassist friend Liam. The line up was completed in October 2013, and The Dabhands were born.
Combining funk/hiphop rhythm elements with huge guitars and impeccably crafted melodic earworms The Dabhands are “having it out” as if Rage Against The Machine were duetting with Fleetwood Mac.
The band wasted no time in becoming the new kids in town, building a reputation as a hard working, tight live act, and garnering support slots with Slaves, The Carnabys and The Amazons along the way. The Dabhands are set to release a string of singles on The Animal Farm in 2017. The first single ‘Maybe I’ is out now and enjoying great support at BBC Radio.
The Dabhands are set to perform at summer festivals, including The Great Escape.

CLIMB THE ATTIC: 9.15 - 9.45
Climb the Attic are a four piece alternative rock band straight out of West London. The band was started by four music lovers, all form different backgrounds, with the aim to create a new sound made of the various influences that each member brings to the project. Their music is characterised by crunchy riffs and juicy melodies taking influences mainly form Green Day, Biffy Clyro and Foo Fighters.
After a short period of gigging in the Capital City the band released their debut Ep ‘Escape the Occupation’ with the intention to build a fan base and play as many stages as possible

MONGREL DOGS: 8.30 - 9.00
Mongrel Dogs are a Rock & Roll band from London, England. With influences spanning several decades and nationalities touching three continents the musical threads of a Scot, Mexican, Brazilian and a Finn are woven together to create an infectious, hi-energy experience.

Lewis, Alvaro, Gustavo and Sak all gravitated to London, the birthplace of many of their influences like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin as well as Deep Purple and Hendrix, to pursue careers in music. The powers of the internet magnetised the four musicians together in a flat in East London where they swiftly moved from covers to originals.

The release of their debut EP ‘High’ in the winter of 2016 got the band gigging regularly on the capital’s rock scene where their energetic live act quickly earned a reputation as “a stage invasion from within”.
